What's On Your Workbench Wednesday (WOYWW)

It's time for WOYWW  again where by arty folks across the globe share what is on their work benches. To read about this or join in go to Julia's blog here. It's very interesting spying on others desks and we are all so eclectic with our arty pursuits. My desk is pretty much the same as last week. I've finished another cuff and I am working on a new one. I haven't cleared away my metal working tools yet  but I need too soon so I can repair the painting at the back and make a mixed media card.

The double heart pop up card at the back was made yesterday and the how too is below this post.

There is a change to the right side of my desk as some parcels came including a Spellbinder's Artisan Xplorer machine...now to get some Susan Lenart Kazmer Media Mixage goodies. I also bought some new Tombows for colouring flesh tones.

Behind my chair on an easel is a drawing I have just done over the last few days. It's an A3 sized one. I used to draw allot till I got married and had children and stopped. In the last 2 years I have started to draw again. I'm no where as good as I used to be but I am trying. I decided I couldn't do eyes well yet so I did this face drawing with her eyes closed...what a cheat hey?

Thinking I may revisit my old drawing and painting faces class info from an on line class I did with Paulette Insall and try to transfer this to a canvas and paint her at some stage. I'm off to check what is on others desks :o). I wont play WOYWW for 2 weeks as I shall be in QLD visiting my 81 year old Mum
hugs

Enjoy Queensland, I believe it is beautiful (my Ozzie nephew lived there for a while).
Hope you enjoy your Artisan as much as I enjoy mine, only a small footprint but quite a strong hefty little guy.
Lovely things as always Annette and now to pop down to see how to do that card. Thanks a lot!
Thanks also for visiting me earlier and a Happy WOYWW 4th Birthday.
Hugs, Neet xx 1

Hi Annette
always such interesting artwork on your desk. I don't think it is cheating when your don't draw eyes. She looks quite meditative. I have made a few ATC's and will send you one if you get a chance to email your address. No rush if you are away for a couple of weeks and no need to send one in return. Enjoy visiting your mum.

Your desk is always intriguing to me, love the drawing and you can draw, no lost tallent there at all. I just watched you tube tonight about the artisan machine is looks so cool and I can see why you have one. You will use that little baby alot for your jewellery, you must give me a full report on it. Lovely card too.

I know you have not been with the WOYWW'ers long but happy 4th Birthday to you.

Hugs Eliza

Hi Annette,
Such a creative space, I am still wanting to make a cuff. No closed eyes are not cheating, I have done the same thing for the same reason..LOL Will miss you while your gone.

The drawing is I think, like calligraphy..it'll come back to where you left off with a bit of practice - you just need to grease your gears!! It's lovely, eyes closed makes it very serene don't you think!

Annette: Love the look of your header! She is fab! Your cuffs are always lovely. I think your drawing is great, and don't think it is cheating to use closed eyes. I can't draw, so I love to see people who can. I can't wait to see her on a canvas. Have safe travels and enjoy your mom. Winnie#98

Once again, I'm in awe of your metal work. Also love that face. Your desk is always interesting.

Love the new look of the blog Annette...so much fun steampunk! The cuffs turned out beautifully, and thanks for the tutorial about the pop up double heart. Trust me I draw terribly but I realized the other day the thing I like about my art is I keep trying. And the more I do that, the more I pick up along the way and then in spite of myself I start to get better. Strangely, one of the few things I feel like I occasionally get right are the eyes. The rest of the face? Not so much...ah well. It's all about the joy it brings to you and to others if you are lucky. Hope the visit with your Mum is a good one...See you in a couple of week.
