What's On Your Workbench Wednesday (WOYWW) 279

Hello all you desk hoppers. It's time for WOYWW where by arty folks around the World share what is on their desks each Wednesday. If you want to join in or read about it go here to Julia's blog. I missed a few weeks again  as life got in the way and I forgot but here is my desk today.

At the left is a recently done abstract painting of the ocean, rocks and sky. This was made as part of my weekly art classes at a local gallery. The process to getting the end result is in a post below this one. In front of the painting I am making "grided viewers" to more actually sketch what I want to try and paint.

On the right I am making a small beaded purse shaped necklace to hold a few coins for when I am caught short buying something.

Just "missed" still being on my desk was a 12 page mixed media book I made using fabric as its base. It's now on display at the council chambers building with other students work. You can see it on a previous post though if you want here. Time to scoot off and spy on what's on other peoples desks!

hugs

Ah I can see you going on another adventure with beads, hmm I still have your cogs to post off sorry just noticed I have neglected to do this. Great to have you join in again, I always love spying on your desk, one day I will hopefully see it in person.

Your space is just so full of things going on Paintings to beading. I love those little beaded purses they take so long to make but well worth it in the end :) Happy WOYWW hugs Nikki No # yet

Gosh Annette, you haven't been attending the class that long and you have captured the art of painting so masterly. Love the painting you have done.
Sounds as if you are busy and have lots going on - beading is something I have never tried. Probably wont now as the eyes are not good enough for such intricate work.
Have a good week

Crumbs, Annette, you're a flutterby just like me! So many lovely things to try, and not enough hours in the day for them. That painting is great, and I look forward to seeing your finished beaded purse. Happy WOYWW, Chris # 23

Hi Annette, Happy WOYWW. There is a strong arts and craft vibe going on this week, good on you! I would love to be more arty, and beading was something I thought I would do, have the loom and beads as yet untouched, your purse is gorgeous!

Thanks for your return visit, Annette, and for your two lovely comments. I'm afraid my ARTHaven isn't always this tidy - I had a blitz the other day, but it soon gets messy again as I turn it into a dumping ground! Glad you like the various things I've been doing recently. Thanks for the info re iron and orange - I shall start drinking orange juice again!
